What an exciting weekend we just had. Soccer Saturday was full of its usual craziness, especially Shayli's game. Shayli was playing a big rival team and her team really wanted to win this one. Things looked really good when one of her teammates scored a goal within the first couple minutes of the game. A few minutes later, Shayli made an awesome move and got a breakaway to the goal. Just as she was getting ready to take the shot, some crazy girl came up from behind her and did an illegal slide tackle. They both went down and the girl went down right on Shay's right arm. This is what it looked like on the x-ray...
Both bones totally snapped. I've never seen quite a deformed arm before and it was quite gross. It even got more exciting when they called the ambulance. Shayli was so lucky because two of her friends that play with her have dads who are EMT's. They were both there and quickly got Shayli in a make shift splint. She then was driven away in the ambulance....sirens and all! Here she is with Bryan a dad of a boy in her class. So she was obviously in good hands the whole time.

Soccer Saturdays & More.....
Well soccer Saturdays are in full swing! And at our house we just love this time of year. The time of year when we eat, sleep and breathe soccer, literally! We are now in our third week of the fall season and I finally remembered my camera. I got a few shots of the girls and their teams and then we all enjoyed a couple of great soccer games. Shayli's team had a great game. They played one of their big rival teams and won big time. I think the score was 9-0. Shayli's team is so fun to watch. They have no subs and have to play the whole game, but they play so well together. The other teams coach was so mad because of the score, but Coach Mary had the girls playing all different positions. Shayli even played goalie one quarter, but didn't even touch the ball once. Out of the nine girls on her team five different girls scored. It didn't matter where Coach Mary put them, they played awesome. Shayli didn't have her best game, but considering she had just got over the flu, we gave her a break. :)

And the Next American Idol Is......
We had a Ward talent show/Chilli Cook Off last week and Kyndra & Shayli really wanted to participate in it. Of course Kyndra wanted to sing and she sang a song from the movie Esther. We were pretty proud of her. She did a great job. Shayli has sworn off a singing career so she made chilli. It was really good and she made it all herself. She even put chocolate in it. I didn't even think of getting a picture of it. It didn't win, but it was very tasty. Anyway, this is just one of those blogs were I brag about my kids. I hope you enjoy Kyndra's song.

Wildcat Weekend!!
Okay, so my heart cannot take anymore basketball for awhile. This past weekend was the
State Girls Championship Games for Konawaena High School, which is the high school the girls will go to, and also for Richfield High School, where Rod's daughter Shacari plays. They both went to the championship game, they both are the wildcats, we watched/listened to both, they both went into double overtime and they both won! YAY!! But they both almost made my heart pound out of my chest. They were such good games and our house was very excited about the outcomes. Konawaena 54-50 and Richfield 47-45!! We've never listened to a game before and me, Shayli and Shayli's friend Kylie were going crazy listening to Shac's game. At least no one can see you jumping around like a fool in your house. It was so much fun. Anyway, Congrats to both teams, but more congrats go to Shacari, we love her the most! The best player on the court by far!! WAY TO GO SHAC!!!

Look Who's 8 months!!
I can't believe Lynzee is 8 months already. She is such a funny little girl. She always seems to have a smile on her face or a look of curiousity. She takes in everything that she sees. If she isn't smiling or checking something out she is usually eating. This girl loves to eat. She loves the fresh bananas on the farm and Gerber puffs. She is quite the puff herself. I love her chubby little cheeks. She has discovered that she loves the beach, especially the sand. She loves to eat that too. I am so glad that she made it down to our family, especially before I got to old!
